During the 2016 election cycle I worked with a small team to organize a "get out the vote" event in Portland, OR called "Make America Nice Again." I acted as talent buyer and event consultant, resulting in a 300-ticket sold out event, profits going toward local non-profits. Attendees were encouraged to bring their ballots and march across the street to a ballot drop site. Performances throughout the night included an appearance by headliners Built to Spill, local comedians, youth speakers, and a New Orleans style marching band. Event funding came through local community partners, and helped produce an online video advertisement campaign to encourage Oregonians to vote.
